The Appeal
The competition is fierce, of course, but the 328 is up there as one of the most beautiful - and the greatest - of Maranello’s delectable output. Curvaceous Pininfarina styling, charismatic Dino V8 and near-perfect mid-engined weight distribution and handling: this is one of motoring’s true greats.
Naturally, your 328 has to be in classic Rosso Corsa over Crema leather. This well presented 1989 GTS proves why: it looks magnificent, the neat updates applied to these later models making it more modern and arguably even prettier.
This targa-roofed GTS is one of the desirable post-88 cars with ABS and revised suspension. It has clearly been cherished by its handful of keepers. The mileage is low - under 62,000 miles - yet the exterior and interior present much as if this car had just rolled off the production line.
The history file is similarly impressive, with regular recent maintenance and a run of older service stamps. A recent highlight is a cam belt change in 2023 - it arrives with the buyer with nothing to immediately do. A long, advisory-free MOT to May 2025 underlines the excellent provenance of this very well-kept car.

Inspecting this beautiful 328 feels like being transported back to the '80s, such is the level of preservation. It looks very pretty in Rosso Corsa Crema leather interior, appearing as if it has barely been used in the intervening 35 years.
Across the exterior and interior the car is pleasingly standard, including the 16in alloys fitted to post-88 cars. There is a modern Pioneer Bluetooth pop-up stereo fitted but the original Becker head unit is included with the sale. You will also find a matching spare and tool kit.
We are told that everything works correctly, even the air conditioning. Not that you will need it with that removable Targa roof available to transform this coupe into a summer sun magnet.
The Mechanics
- 3,185cc ‘Quattrovalvole’ Dino V8 delivering 270bhp
- 5spd manual gearbox with dogleg first
- Later car with ABS and redesigned and improved suspension
- Cambelt replaced in 2023
- Regularly serviced and maintained according to seller
- No reported running or driving issues
- No mechanical or running gear advisories on current MOT
Later 328s like this car got a range of improvements that make them particularly appealing and suited to modern motoring. Items like ABS and revised suspension build on a mouthwatering specification that already includes that classic ‘Dino’ V8.
This car’s low mileage of under 62,000 miles is documented by the service and MOT history. The car has extensive records including stamped service book and more recent invoices and receipts. These include a cambelt change in 2023.
The 328 is well regarded by buyers as one of Ferrari’s more reliable and easy-to-own models. That is particularly so of these later cars. This car is said to be in very good condition and arrives with the buyer, requiring no work. That picture is supported by the long, advisory-free MOT.
