THE APPEAL

Exceptionally penned by renowned automotive designer Paul Bracq, the BMW E24 was the first generation of their esteemed 6 Series range and replacement to the highly regarded E9 model. Braq had a reputation for producing masterpieces and during his time as Design Director of BMW, he produced some of his most critically acclaimed work such as the BMW E24.

Produced as a two-door coupé only, the E24 combined the era-distinctive BMW features, such as the kidney grille, with wondrous and sleek body lines that included an elongated hood and sloping roof line. Captivating exterior aesthetics was not the only draw, however, a luxurious and comfortable interior plus a range of straight-6 engines allow for responsive and engaging performance.

Near the top of the model lineup and widely considered one of the best classic BMWs is the 635CSi. Powered by BMW's 3.5L version of BMW's iconic M30 straight-6 engine, the 635CSi delivers impressive performance and an enjoyable driving experience no matter the journey. The robust power allows for comfortable easy grand touring as well as the ability to produce exhilarating B-road drives.

Presented in very good condition, this late 1989 635CSi is a wonderful example of the beloved car. In current ownership since 1998, the car has been a cherished companion and has been treated to a multitude of body and mechanical work in the last few years by a well-respected E24 specialist. Benefiting from a comprehensive body restoration in 2018 plus a recent major service, this E24 is a stunning sight and is reported to drive excellently.
