Highlights
- Immaculate interior
- Presents well
- Great service history
The Appeal
Built as the successor to the Porsche 924, the 944 was manufactured from 1982 to 1991. The rear wheel drive mid-engined car was fitted with a 2.5-litre engine (carried over from the 924) and paired to a 5-speed gearbox as standard. There were several versions made available during its production run, but here is one of the later examples with the more desirable turbo charged engine, offering 217 bhp and a respectable top speed of 162 mph.
With its balanced weight distribution and well-tuned suspension, it offers a far more sporty and engaging driving experience than some of the other sports cars of the era. Importantly, this one appears to have been very well looked after by its previous owners as is evident by the extensive history file and general condition of the bodywork and the interior.
