The Appeal
The R129 is one of those rare classics that does virtually everything you could want from a cherished motor. Impeccably built, of course, and very comfortable too, these are durable cars that work equally as daily drivers or weekend chariots.
This ‘91 Signal Red 300SL-24 has clearly been cherished by its handful of keepers. They’ve kept the total mileage below 85,000 - less than 2,500 miles a year - and maintained it well. There is a healthy history file of regular servicing and maintenance through its 34 years.
The current keeper has retained it as part of his SL collection since 2010. The bodywork presents at a high level, including the factory hard top, and the interior is neatly preserved. The advisory-free MOT to late June 2025 reinforces the sense of a good, usable example of these popular cars.
