The Appeal
How can we forget the crazy Mercedes-Benz C126s with gull-wing doors made in the 1980s? The most famous were those built by the Hamburg-based 'Styling Garage' atelier, also known as SGS. Their Mercedes-Benz-based one-offs were particularly popular in the United Arab Emirates, Brunei and Saudi Arabia. Here we can admire one of their creations, the SGS Biarritz based on the Mercedes-Benz W124 230CE.
This cabriolet version started out as a Coupé, whose roof SGS cut off and then fitted with a specially developed electro-hydraulic canvas roof. This example is also equipped with an engine tuned with a Brabus kit, which delivers 150 horsepower.
Registered in Italy as a 230 CE Brabus Cabriolet, this very special car is ready for its next keeper.
