The Appeal
The HF Turbo was the first performance version of the Lancia Delta, predating the four-wheel-drive Integrale of rallying fame. Its 1.6-litre engine was fitted with a Garrett TBO-225 turbocharger, wastegate, air-to-air heat exchanger, and twin-choke Weber carburettor. The engine was suitably upgraded with sodium-filled valves and an increased-capacity oil cooler. A five-speed ZF manual gearbox was fitted, and the chassis setup was tweaked for improved handling.
Today, these HF Turbos are vanishingly rare, especially UK-supplied right-hand drive examples like this one. Our 1988 car has a seldom-seen Hormann body kit fitted and is a very smart example thanks to copious improvement work carried out during recent years. It passed its last MOT with no advisories, although a new test is required before it can return to the road.
Offered by the vendor on behalf of the current owner, this lovely Lancia awaits a new custodian to enjoy it and continue its preservation.
