The Appeal
To some, the obvious ‘80s convertible GT is the Mercedes-Benz R107 SL. But if you have a penchant for V12s - as every self-respecting petrolhead should - we’d recommend the Jaguar XJ-S.
This 1988 example is just the sort of car we’d love to traverse Continents in. It’s exceedingly original throughout and beautifully presented - a testament to the care and attention it has received over the years and especially the diligent preparation carried out by our vendor. It’s had just five keepers in all, the last since from 1998 until 2022 when the vendor acquired it. During the last two years, it has covered a mere 220 miles, and while the vendor had been planning to keep this lovely car, another convertible has come along so it’s now, reluctantly, for sale.
Complete with a long, advisory-free MOT, this handsome V12 grand tourer is ready to hit the open road.
