The Appeal
The Testarossa is as famous for its side strakes as its incredible ‘flat 12’ engine. These cars are the stuff of bedroom posters and high end classic car collections.
This example is a rarity, and not just because of its handsome Blue Chiaro paintwork and Rosso red interior. It has been used and enjoyed, and as such is exactly the sort of Testarossa you want to buy if you intend to do the same. And considering how good these cars to drive, you certainly should.
Although the mileage has been kept to a respectable 110,000kms from new by its duo of keepers - the first to 2021 - the regular yet sparing use means that it is in excellent mechanical health. That is thanks to regular servicing - there are receipts for over €80,000 - plus a comprehensive engine rebuild by a Ferrari specialist in November 2022. The car has covered just 9,000ms since that work was completed.
The condition is impressive. There is a light patina to the interior that the buyer may wish to improve, but nothing that detracts from the sense of history this car conveys.
Recent servicing by Ferrari Warsaw together with a check over and attention to minor points means the car arrives with the buyer ready to enjoy.

This car’s Blu Chiaro paintwork is a useful reminder that when not distracted by the more usual red paintwork, the Testarossa is a stunning shape that responds well to dark colours.
It is a well kept car that has been clearly enjoyed. It is a mark of the first long-term keeper’s enthusiasm for it that the car notched up several Concours D’Elegance wins around Europe during his ownership.
There are signs of use to the lovely Rosso red interior, but they are light and could be lived with or, of course, there is scope to retrim. But perhaps that patina is part of this much-loved car’s character.
Elsewhere there are some light stone chips to the bodywork, a few marks noted above and some light kerbing to the grey five spoke alloys. None detract from the overall sense of a well cared for car.

Ferrari’s Type 113 12 cylinder engine is one of the firm’s greatest engineering marvels. Generally described as a ‘flat 12’ - although there is some debate whether it technically is ‘flat’ - it can trace its origins to the mid 1960s and Ferrari’s illustrious 1512 Formula One car.
It is the sort of engine drivers want to enjoy, and this car’s pair of keepers certainly have. They have been sparing, but it does mean that the car has been properly maintained throughout its life. Since 1988 it has amassed a remarkable €80,000 of receipts and invoices, primarily from Ferrari main dealers and well regarded European specialists.
Recent work has included an engine overhaul in November 2022 by a well known Ferrari specialist. This included replacing the timing chain, renovating the ignition system and replacing hoses and pipes. The car has only covered 9,000 kms since that work.
It comes to market with a recent service by Ferrari Warsaw together with extra checks and work which we have detailed above. The car is reported to run very well with no issues for the buyer to attend to.
