1988 Austin Mini Mayfair

Highlights

  • Only 29,739 miles from new
  • Comprehensive restoration with approximately £7,000 spent
  • Full body, bare shell respray
  • Extensive MOT and service history
  • Stored in an insulated garage

The Appeal

Introduced in 1982, the Mini Mayfair was one of those Mini Editions that sat synonymously with the car's newfound metropolitan image. The compact proportions and perky performance were, of course, all present and correct - with the car coming in a range of colours and trims that focused on velour comfort and perhaps a little spot of executive appeal.

This 1988 Mini Mayfair has undergone a full restoration over around one and a half years, with approximately £7,000 invested in the process. The restoration included a full body, bare shell respray, and plenty of new parts, leaving this marvellous Mini in fine fettle, through and through.

The car has been stored in an insulated garage and has hardly been driven since the restoration due to family illness. As a result the lucky buyer has a superb prospect - a low mileage, recently restored car that's still carrying plenty of its retro character.
