The Appeal
Derived from the first 1948 Land Rover, updated and modified over the years and built in three generations until 1983, the Land Rover 90 and 110 were equipped with more modern coil spring suspension and permanent four-wheel drive with locking center differential from the Range Rover and a more comfortable interior.
Since then, the classic Land Rovers, renamed Defender in 1990, have remained faithful to the same mechanical layout, introducing only a few new engines over the years and a renewed interior starting from 2007.
Equipped with rugged and sophisticated mechanics, the Defenders have had great success all over the world, thanks to their celebrated off-road capabilities, their versatility and the inimitable charm of their timeless lines.
This Land Rover 110 has just received a thorough restoration, has never been driven since and is in very good cosmetic condition.
Completely repainted in an attractive gray shade, it is equipped with a new interior with 2010 Defender specifications, but has retained the practical folding benches in the cargo compartment which allow it to carry up to nine passengers.
Outfitted with the renowned, powerful and reliable 3.5-litre V8 petrol engine, enhanced by a high-performance Edelbrock carburettor, this 110 has been thoroughly overhauled and the seller tells us that it is in perfect working order.
The rear drum brakes have been replaced with discs and calipers which guarantee much more effective and balanced braking.
Rich in charm and history, the Land Rover is the unstoppable queen of off-road vehicles and remains one of the most sought-after vehicles by enthusiasts.
Practical, roomy and fitted out with great taste and competence, this 110, equipped with the rare and exciting eight-cylinder engine and with a striking interior, is a precious opportunity to acquire a a very attractive classic of great historical importance, capable of tackling any path and ready to drive.
