When it first came to market the Golf GTI turned heads and changed the scope of performance cars for “the everyman”. Stylish, practical and astoundingly quick, the GTI really did change the game and some 8 generations later, is still seen as the benchmark for what a hot hatch should be.

The History and Paperwork
- 1986 model, understood to originally be a CL trim level
- Taken to Ireland around eight years ago
- Purchased by the current owner from a private collection in Ireland around a year and half ago before being subject to an extensive recommissioning by the vendor
- The car is still on British registration
- The vendor informs us of several pieces of service history and paperwork including invoices for mechanical upgrades including certification for the Jabba supercharger system

- Paintwork is of a generally very high quality, looking to be of a good standard throughout with very limited signs of age related wear or marking
