The Appeal
If ever there was a car to personify 1980’s motoring, it would be the first generation Toyota MR2. Wedged in shape, incredibly dynamic and those all important pop up headlights, the MR2 provided everything the discerning 1980s sports car buyer could possibly want, in a neat little mid-engined package.
An unquestionable success from first launch the MR2 sold in massive numbers, yet fast forward to present day and very few quality examples are left on the roads, and it's fair to say that out of the few that are, none are quite as unique or interesting as the car we have here today. Presenting a rare and exciting opportunity, D21 FPW has had the voltage turned up with a full EV conversion in the place of its normal 1.6 litre mid mounted combustion unit.
Performed to an extremely high standard by Electro Classics and Relik EV, this 1980s wedge has well and truly been brought into the 21st century.
