The Appeal
It doesn’t get much more ‘80s than this; you’d half expect Madonna to step out of it…This 1986 Porsche 911 SuperSport Cabrio is archetypal of its era, resplendent in white over matching white Fuchs, factory-fitted 'Turbo-look' Widebody styling kit - not to mention the copious high-end period optional extras. Originally available under Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (Special Wishes) program, these cars are very rare; it’s often cited just 75 were ever made for the UK in RHD.
It would take two decades for Porsche to introduce a full cabriolet version of the 911. Unsurprisingly, it proved a huge hit - especially with a powered soft top for ease of use. This ultra-rare M491 'Turbo-look' car is the one to have. It's a UK-supplied right-hand drive example that remains commendably original and presents superbly for its age. We’re assured that it comes with a fully documented comprehensive service history, recently including an engine-out reseal service completed by Porsche Colchester in May 2021 at the cost of £9,489
Complete with an advisory-free MOT valid until September 2025, this Porsche is reportedly ready to enjoy.
