THE APPEAL
With the 1960s and the esteemed E-Type coming to the end of its dynasty, Jaguar needed a new celebrity that would showcase the manufacture and everything it stood for with a touch of period styling and utilising the advancement of technology.
After years of development and design the result was labelled the Jaguar XJ-S and while it was initially intended to fill the boots of their admired sports car of the 60s, it instead created a new legacy and became an icon in its own right.
Registered in 1986, this fetching and quite rare XJS-C is in beautiful condition. With only two owners, the second and current from 1989, that car has completed a mere 28,304 miles in its life, being stored and sustained and only driven on occasion. Unrestored and close to its original factory condition, this V12 Targa Convertible has been meticulously loved throughout its ownership and is accompanied by a large archive of paperwork including every MOT certificate ever issued and several service receipts.
Offering potential owners an insight into the enjoyable world of XJS ownership this outstanding car should excite enthusiasts and collectors alike thanks to its incredible condition and cared-for existence.

SUMMARY
A car that was built in the shadow of its predecessor, the XJS was initially planned to try and fill the boots of an icon, but it had other plans. Its grand-tourer allure took Jaguar in a new direction and its V12 powerhouse put it in the same class as Lamborghinis and Ferraris.
This Targa XJS-C is a remarkable example of the model, with only two owners from new, low mileage, regular maintenance and life in a dehumidified garage; it's one of the best examples we’ve seen and as such an incredible car for any collector to take note of.
