The Appeal
In the 1960s Italy created two of the greatest two-seater sports cars of the post-war era: the Alfa Romeo Duetto and the Fiat 124 Spider. Both designed by Pininfarina, they each offered slightly different takes on the carefree, hit-the-weekend theme. They proved so good and so enduringly popular that they remained in production for decades.
124 production passed to Pininfarina in the early 1980s when the car was evocatively renamed the Spidereuropa. Equipped with 2litre fuel injected power and more luxurious interiors, just eight of these LHD models found their way to South Africa.
This is surely one of the best of those cars, if not of any Spidereuropa. With just one owner from new and genuine low, documented mileage, it is in remarkable condition. As rewarding as it is usable, if your requirements focus on finding the very best classic Italian convertible then this beautiful car has to be a contender.

Summary
The 124 Spider is one of the true greats of Italian motoring history, a tactile and engaging sports car that also manages to be both comfortable and practical. The final Pininfarina-built cars did not stray far from this winning formula and, like any 124 Spider, remain sought after.
This superb low mileage, one owner Spidereuropa is a very rare treat for any red-blooded enthusiast. Opportunities like this do not come along often so be sure not to miss it.
