The Appeal

It's not just bluster to label the 2CV as one of the biggest bits of automotive genius in history. It was a marked effort in pure Austerity, a bare-minimal vehicle with a utilitarian - albeit incredibly evocative - body and a roll-back canvas roof. However, any enthusiast will tell you that the car's secret was underneath it. That long-travel suspension system is the stuff of legend, designed to cater for France's unpaved post-war roads.

To this day, these cars are instantly recognisable, and still spotted in fair quantities around the world - plying their unique eye for motoring as ever they have.

This 2CV6 Special has been with the current owner since 2017, and has been very well cared for. Defying how these utilitarian cars often react to the years, this lovely red example is free of any significant corrosion and will be supplied with a fresh MOT to boot.
