The Appeal
Hill climbing is the oldest form of motorsport; a competition wherein driver and car are measured against the clock on tight, challenging gradients. It’s highly competitive, not to mention fantastic fun and a great introduction to motor racing for many amateur entrants.
That’s exactly what this Mini Mayfair has been built to do. It competes in the road-legal Clubman Class where it has proved a very successful car. Restored, modified and campaigned in the UK prior to its import to the Netherlands, this Mini is anything but standard, making at least 100bhp. Post-completion in 2005, the car featured prominently in ‘Mini’ magazine, where its extensive spec list was explained by the man who built it - Paul Warnes.
Now road-registered in the Netherlands, this mighty Mini is looking for a new home. If you’re looking for a ready-made hill climb car, or simply fancy a fast-road Mini to enjoy early on a Sunday morning, this would be a great candidate.
