The Appeal
This much-loved 280SL demonstrates why the R107 remains so popular with enthusiasts. Its long term owner has used it extensively for UK and European tours, where it has proved as perfectly reliable as you would expect of one of these carefully engineered cars.
No doubt some of that durability is down to this car’s impeccable maintenance history. We are used to seeing good history files, but this car’s still impresses. It includes lots of receipts and invoices as well as carefully annotated handwritten notes by the vendor.
The car was restored in 2010, the work including new wings and a respray. More recently rhe back bumper has been replaced and a new Mohair hood fitted. A factory hard top is included.
Beyond the maintenance this is a well specified car that has a factory rear seat, front seat heaters and ABS. A long MOT to February 2025 completes the strong impression of a carefully curated car. It is ready for more adventures.
