- Complete and rare project for completion
The Appeal
The XJ-SC is perhaps the most versatile of the many variants of Jaguar’s svelte GT. It can be a Targa, coupe or full convertible, depending on your mood. They are rare too - only a few thousand V12s were built alongside this one.
The model benefitted from the many improvements introduced to the early 80s XJS, including tweaked cosmetics, much-improved quality and the ‘High Efficiency’ HE V12 motor.
The vendor bought this car in 2020 and reports that he has spent £25,000 across the purchase and improvement of the car. That resulted in an advisory-free MOT in February 2021. It has been unused since, but the engine has been checked by a Jaguar mechanic and reported to be in good order.
The car will require some structural commissioning and general check-overs. For the right enthusiast, this looks like an interesting project with a very rewarding classic to enjoy at the end of it.
