The Appeal

There had been ‘go anywhere’ general purpose military vehicles before - we think you know the one we mean - but nothing, and we do mean nothing, on the scale of the simply named Hummer H1.
These gargantuan, go-anywhere military vehicles rightly became the symbol of early 90s Desert Storm campaigns for their indestructible, terrain-defying abilities. Likely when you think of a H1, you think of this vehicle because it was amongst the first 3,000 supplied to the US Army for the Iraq campaign.

It served in Desert Storm campaigns 1 and 2 and also at Bassra in 1991 and then Baghdad in 2003. After decommissioning in 2013 it spent time with a California collector before being acquired by a Greek MOD engineer. It is believed to be the only remaining H1 from that first batch of 3,000 that saw active service.and part of the 88th Airborne Rangers.

It comes to market fresh from a partial rebuild. The vendor will complete the work if the buyer wishes at an additional cost. The Vendor has decided to rebuilt with a USA supplier of spare parts and engineering team and have this ready in roughly 8 weeks. If the new owners wish the information will be passed to them.
Now painted red and with total mileage of 119,276, - although the odometer has been zero’d - this H1 has been well maintained by its military and civilian keepers. It is equipped with Greek technical inspection valid to August 2026 and FIVA Card (Historical Car certification) valid until 2032 Also included are four new tyres and in total roughly 15.000 Euro of spare parts that also include hood, suspension spares, oil filter and Mirrors.
