The Appeal
The second generation M535 brought sports car thrills to saloon car buyers. With 220bhp running through the rear wheels, these nimble cars could easily keep up with supercars whilst transporting four, plus luggage, in proper comfort.
This car is a reminder that Alpineweiss is one of the best colours for these now-rare cars. Here it is accented by a factory M Tech body kit and deep dish lattice alloys. Inside there is a well kept black leather interior with its factory M Tech features intact. There is even an correct Blaupunkt Bremen radio cassette.
The car has been regularly used by the current keeper - around 2,000 miles a year in warm weather - and maintained properly. There is a thick record of work by specialists such as Jaymic. The car is largely standard but with sympathetic upgrades such as an Alpina cam and Fritz Bitz exhaust that make driving it even better.
Regularly serviced and reported to run and drive very well, the car will be sold with a fresh 12 months MOT.
The vendor writes:
“The car is great to drive. The cam and exhaust make it a thrill to rev to redline, with a fantastic sound that you can't get with modern smaller or turbo engines. Acceleration feels rapid despite it's age.
“In person, the car makes a statement with its sharp lines and pointed grill. Really sticks out in a crowd.”
