The Appeal
While the Series III Alfa Romeo Spider would come to be known as the model that introduced the striking Quadrifoglio body kits, “teledial” alloy wheels and “pod dash” interiors, early examples such as this 1985 model are sure to appeal to those seeking something more classic. Retaining the interior of its Series II “Coda Tronca” predecessor, sitting upon painted steel wheels with polished hubcaps and devoid of ‘80s body kits, we think this 1985 Spider is a very handsome machine. Most were sold with 2.0-litre engines, but this one is the lesser-seen 1.6, which is loved by many for its free-revving nature.
The Spider shows 127,265 km on the odometer and looks in very original order. We appreciate the original steel wheels, exquisite Hellebore steering wheel and the Borg digital clock (with stopwatch function), not to mention those beautiful Jaeger instruments…
Well-presented and reportedly ready to go, this Spider is one to consider if you’re looking for a stylish, engaging convertible sports car.
