The Appeal
Whether it was Bodie and Doyle sliding sideways through piles of cardboard boxes or simply because your dad had one, it seems everyone has a place reserved in their affections for the Ford Capri. This one's the coveted 2.8-litre Injection model - a boot badge that was sure to earn you respect in the office car park back in the day.
The vendor says of this example:
"According to Ford, this was 'The car you always promised yourself'. After almost 40 years, it continues to provide a great driving experience with its strong engine pulling power and rear-wheel drive handling. Almost every time it is taken out on the road, it provokes thumbs up from other drivers plus pedestrians, people taking photos, or approaching to tell you how their granddad/ dad/ uncle/ brother had one! I have kept this car in an underground car park since owning for the last two years and it has predominantly only been driven in dry conditions."
The Capri has undergone a great deal of work this year, the owner having spent around £3,000 with a well-regarded Capri specialist in Lincolnshire. It comes with an MOT until August 2025 and is reportedly ready to enjoy.
The History and Paperwork
