Volkswagen's Golf GTi, the quintessential 'sports saloon' for many, quickly became a global icon and its name lives on to this day. By combining Giugiaro's styling, the innovative use of front-wheel drive and an energetic fuel-injected engine, the formula proved a winner, and the GTI quickly became a best-seller.
This 1983 model is one of the rarest of the four-door GTI Mk1s, certified by a VW dealer. It is in excellent condition for its age, with little wear or damage to report. Recent servicing work, including a new timing belt and shock absorbers, ensures that this GTI is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
