The Appeal
The world of everyday classic motoring is fuelled by cars like this. It is a timewarp W123 that has been in the same family from new. Always garaged and continuously maintained - amassing a huge history file - it is in truly superb condition.
The 230E neatly blends economy and modern performance - there is 124bhp on tap - so this stylish cream example could be easily pressed into daily duties. Or perhaps a long classic road trip. Either would be a chance to relish its originality and state of preservation. Despite being used regularly throughout its life, it looks like it only recently rolled out of the showroom. The bodywork is in very good order and the interior is glorious. Both indicate the quality of materials and the care of its keepers. This is one of the best W123s we’ve seen in a while. One not to miss.

✓ We want a smooth transaction just as much as you do and as such we run all UK-registered cars and motorbikes for sale on Car & Classic through an online HPI check to verify that they show no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and have no finance owing, allowing you to bid with confidence.
✓ We also check whether vehicles are recorded as being written off as part of an insurance total loss claim at the time an advert is placed on Car & Classic and we helpfully provide write-off category labels (Cat C/D/S/N) for your assistance. However, the presence or absence of a label does not guarantee the vehicle’s status and it is always worthwhile carrying out your own full vehicle history check before making an offer on a vehicle.
