The Appeal
Ford recently announced the new Capri. We had hoped for a svelte two-door coupé that paid homage to the original. What we got, was another homogenous electric crossover.
Oh well, at least you can buy this instead...
Granted, this near-forty-year-old Capri needs some work. There's rust-a-plenty and it's been languishing in a barn since 2013. But those in the know will doubtless have spotted that this car has a lot going for it: It's an early 2.8 Injection with a five-speed manual gearbox, it's commendably original and comes with lots of hard-to-find original parts. The shell looks to be quite solid too, making this a promising candidate for a rewarding restoration project.
