The Attractions
Ever since the days of the famous Fiat 600 and 500-based models, Abarth has proved capable of making Fiat cars go fast. Today, the House of the Scorpion is owned by Fiat and its marque identifies the sportiest models, renewing a long-lasting relationship between these two Italian excellences that reached its peak in the 1980s, at the time of the unforgettable small hot hatch sports cars.
The Ritmo 130 TC Abarth was Fiat's answer to the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Peugeot 205 GTI. Its secret weapon was the famous, refined and sophisticated Lampredi twin-shaft engine, while none of its major rivals could boast a twin-shaft engine. Today, the 130 TC Abarth is probably the rarest of the compact sports cars of the 1980s and is therefore particularly collectible.
This 1983 example is in excellent condition, having received a thorough mechanical overhaul that included a cylinder head rebuild. Complete with ASI Targa Oro certification, valid overhaul and all the necessary documentation for the transfer of ownership, this Fiat is ready to give its next owner great thrills.
