Highlights
- Well kept and usable turbocharged Bentley
- MOT to May 2024
- Good history file
- Carburettor overhauled and oversized jet fitted
The Appeal
Bolting a big Garrett turbo to the Mulsanne’s venerable 6.75litre V8 created a Bentley worthy of the car’s Le Mans-evoking name. Power jumped 50% and overnight the firm had a sporting saloon in its finest tradition.
Less than 500 were built, which makes survivors like this early example rare and compelling. Smartly finished in British Racing Green with a lovely chocolate brown interior, it is a low mileage car that has clearly been cared for.
A thick history and long MOT provide added reassurance. The Mulsanne Turbo is pivotal to Bentley’s long history and this is a very usable example of a car that cries out to be enjoyed.
