Highlights
- In current family ownership since October 1985
- Desirable V8 conversion to TR8 specification
- Major mechanical overhaul carried out over the last six months
The Appeal
Triumph had planned for a V8-engined TR7 all along, but British Leyland's financial predicament meant that very few "TR8s" were actually built. And that's a great pity, as the likes of Tony Pond showe us that these "British Corvettes" were develishly quick in motorsport.
The good news is, you can build your own TR8 - and that's exactly what we have here. In present ownership since 1985, when it was a just three years old, this TR7 has survived very well. It has been off the road, dry-stored inthe vendor's garage for about a decade, although a great deal of work has been carried out over the last six months in readiness for the next owner.
