The Attractions
Launched in 1961, the Renault 4 was clearly inspired by the Citroën 2CV. Renault could not fail to recognise the immense popularity of the little Citroën, but realised that the basic concept of that innovative car could be developed further. For the 2CV was slow and had been designed primarily for rural roads, and although the road network was always improving it had changed little since its introduction in 1948, which made it rather obsolete. The Renault 4 was therefore designed to be faster and capable of tackling modern roads, while also offering more practicality and versatility.
This particular example, from 1982, has been idle since 2001 and has recently been refurbished. Designed as an extremely versatile van, it is ideal for adventures and pleasant outdoor trips. It has been repainted in a striking military green colour, and its classic streamlined shape is thus further emphasised.
All that remains is to register it and set off on unforgettable adventures.
