The Appeal
One of the most ubiquitous cars in Britain - and the most beloved. The ever-enduring Land Rover is the definition of the classic off-roader. With its go-everywhere attitude and easy-to-fix mechanics, it's little wonder that you're still likely to see examples from across the car's nearly forty years of production, climbing rugged hillsides or pottering through rural towns with shovels in the back.
This particular example is a 'County' variant, loaded with slightly more soft furnishings to offer a more leisurely drive - indeed, one could argue this was the inspiration for later, more luxurious Land Rover products. With its striking red and cream paintwork, this is a fully restored specimen with a new galvanised chassis and bulkhead. Fitted with Exmoor seats, providing comfort for up to six passengers. The headlamps have been upgraded to high-powered units for improved visibility, and from what we can tell, it's a particularly original example.
For those seeking a classic Land Rover for work or leisure, this is a simply marvellous example that'll prove to be a very able companion.
