The Appeal
While his successful motorcycle racing career began in the late 1950s, Mike ‘The Bike’ Hailwood is perhaps best known for his 1978 TT comeback and yet he won the event following an eleven-year hiatus. So great was this achievement that Ducati commissioned a special version of the 900SS, marketed as the ‘Mike Hailwood Replica’. Ducati produced the MHR from 1979 until 1986 and these bikes remain immensely collectable amongst racing enthusiasts.
Here we have a commendably original example, imported from Japan in 2019. Now UK-registered road tax/MOT exempt and ready to ride, it’s sure to be of great interest to collectors. Don’t miss this excellent opportunity to make this Ducati yours.
