The Appeal
The very first generation of the 7-Series was a car destined to make an impact. Loaded with luxury and carrying a pretty impressive 6-cylinder engine... and also, utterly huge. These big luxury sedans arrived in the middle of an increasingly hostile market, when fuel was expensive and large cars felt wasteful - but they managed to succeed without issue, with over 285,000 built.
It's a formula that's hard to ignore, and continues to attract plenty of enthusiasts. These cars were technologically advanced and loaded with now-familiar creature comforts. And some slightly less familiar - they even featured a dictaphone for their executive audience!
This 1982 example is particularly impressive, with a rare BBS front splitter and rear spoiler, and has been comprehensively restored to a high standard. A fabulous colour scheme, plenty of mechanical investment and a highly original cabin really complete the array; it's an incredibly handsome car that's well worthy of your consideration.
