The Appeal
The Quattro was oft regarded as a milestone for not just Audi - but the entire world of motoring. It's almost hard to surmise for the modern enthusiast - a front-engine four-wheel-drive sports car with a turbocharger was simply not something the market had come face-to-face with before, and was practically a dead cert for rallying. Pop it into this gloriously excessive package of boxed arches, side skirts and spoilers - not to mention a pretty comfortable cabin - and you've got a car that rapidly became a legend.
There was simply nothing else like it - and that early 10-valver is amongst one of the most desirable 80s classics out there. As a result, this sleeping beauty is - we think - a pretty impressive prospect, and very likely to be a rewarding project. Barn stored since the 1990s, and offered as a non runner, there's a good base here for a comprehensive restoration that - one day - will no doubt be roaring through rally routes with gusto.
