1981 Triumph TR7 V8 Convertible

Highlights

  • Restored and rebuilt with respray
  • Only 2,549 miles since rebuild
  • 4litre V8 with huge specification
  • Very tidy condition
  • Ready to race or enjoy on the road

The Appeal

The usual British Leyland shenanigans stymied the TR7. Thankfully, no such constraints have held buyers back. Many of Harris Mann’s distinctive wedges have been converted to V8s for road use. This one goes a little further.
Running a 4litre version of the much-loved Rover engine, this car’s specification is particularly compelling. There’s a LSD, upgraded brakes and suspension and even adjustable power steering. The work was done in 2011, including full rebuild and respray, and the car has only covered 2,500 since.
It is consequently in very good condition and looks purposeful on its white Compomotives. This is a potent road or track rocket and a well sorted one-off.
