The Appeal

The Devon conversions of the classic Volkswagen T2 are well regarded for their practicality and versatility. This stylish ‘79 dials up those qualities with its Moonraker roof that makes using and enjoying it a fully standing pursuit.

It is an older restoration finished in a fetching combination of green metallic with white paint, a theme that is continued through the retrimmed interior. The quality of the work includes crafting the seats with a central suede panel. Inside and out it is well kept and solid, showing only minor cosmetic points for the buyer to note.

A further draw is economical 2litre TDI engine, which makes it ideal for long distance touring.

Recently released from long term storage, it is sold with a long MOT to June 2025 but would benefit from some checks and recommissioning before driving. It is eligible for Historic Vehicle status, which would give the buyer MOT and tax exempt, ULEZ-compliant and very pretty holiday wheels.
