The Appeal
Conceived as Porsche's answer to fulfil market demands for a luxurious grand touring performance cruiser, the all-new 928 offered perfect weight distribution to produce a well-balanced car that set new standards in refinement and driver appeal. Powered by an all-new V8 water-cooled engine, packaged in a distinctively styled car that offered excellent ergonomics and thoroughness to attention to detail complements its clever engineering. Porsche put so much trust in the 928, it soon established itself as Porsches front-engined flagship model for almost 20 years.
This 1979 4.5-litre automatic, is an early example of a UK-spec RHD car. Treated to at least £15,000 worth of spending in recent years, much of it spent on the interior, paint, mechanics and electrics. As part of a collection which is being reduced to a house purchase, the owner has had the car since 2014 and it will be sold with 12 months MOT.
