- Garage find car for restoration
- Good history file
- UK market Sports Package
- Well preserved checked cloth interior
The Appeal
The SC was Porsche’s first ‘world car’, one equally at home in the USA and Europe. Much work went into creating it, including galvanising the chassis and introducing the stronger 3 litre flat six motor. This new engine delivered a flatter torque curve with better pull from low revs.
Here is a real find for Porsche enthusiasts. It is a low mileage 1980 Model Year SC that has been in storage since 2010 and is ready for rejuvenation. Finished in classic Guards Red with well-preserved checked cloth interior, it is fitted with the desirable UK-market Sports Package that adds iconic 80s touchpoints like the Fuchs, Whale Tail and sports seats to the standard specification.
It will require mechanical and other recommissioning. But with early 911s in demand, particularly ones with this classic specification and low mileage, it will surely be an interesting and rewarding process.
