The Appeal
There are few cars as impressive and stately as the iconic Mercedes-Benz W123. The long-wheelbase limousine version - the V123 - was its natural evolution, and offered its buyers the ability to seat up to eight people on three rows of seats.
It was available with a wide range of engines, including the famous 3-litre OM617 diesel, considered one of the most durable and reliable engines ever built.
This elegant dark blue V123 spent its entire life in Rome as a rental car for the Vatican, but is now ready for less demanding assignments. It is well-maintained and very solid, although, having been used professionally, there are inevitably some aspects to be examined in the photographs.
We have been informed that it has not been registered or recently serviced. The brakes have received some attention, new discs and calipers and a new master cylinder. It also has new tyres. This Mercedes looks like a very interesting car with a fascinating history perfect for a buyer willing to give it some attention.
