- Used daily and well maintained

- 1.6-litre, 4-speed manual

The Appeal
Taking over the reins from the legendary Mk1 Escort, the Mk2 had a familiar yet more streamlined design, with more modern engines and specifications. The Ghia model was the “high end” specification, with a plusher interior. Available only as a four door in the late 70s, it makes for an increasingly rare and eminently usable daily classic now.
It’s nice to see a Mk2 that’s been kept close to original factory specification, as the vast majority have been modified or repurposed as rally cars these days. Other than a colour change from gold to white in 2016, this Escort appears to have been kept in original specification. The vendor tells us that they use the car daily as well, so if you’re after a handsome, well maintained classic, then you really do have to consider this gem.
