The Appeal

For nearly 40 years, the diminutive open-top sports car was an almost exclusively anglocentric art - but for an impressive 19 of those, the Fiat Sport Spider was an eminently stylish, backed by an impressive twin-cam engine and a sharp 5-speed transmission, all in an incredibly handsome roadster. Little wonder they're so prized, and ex-American imports have become so popular.

This 1979 example is a matching numbers, highly original car, picked out in a dramatic Anthracite livery with a handsomely trimmed, red vinyl cabin. It's now ready and waiting to be registered in Europe and returned to road - where it'll no doubt prove a very rewarding car.
