The most
The most stylish bike ever? This one is undoubtedly a serious contender for that title.
Even the internal components are admired, from the Desmodromic angular gear mechanism visible through the viewing window, to the magnificent Italian Conti exhausts. As the seller says: "This is one of those dream bikes... almost too beautiful to ride."
The Ducati 900 Super Sport (SS) was designed to rival the Japanese bikes that dominated world performance. An ambitious challenge, but like Italian sports cars, it's the character and soul that appeal far beyond mere numbers.
Connoisseurs are particularly fond of the more recent models, especially the 1979 model, which introduced the emblematic black and gold colour combination. This example for the Italian market was manufactured in 1979 and sold in early 1980 in the province of Udine. It briefly spent time in the UK before being imported to France by its current owner, where it now benefits from a Carte Grise de Collection.
Fully restored in Italy in 2019, this superb motorbike has been kept dry in a heated garage and used sparingly. The seller makes sure that the engine is started every month and that the bike is moved around the garage to avoid tyre deformation. A five-year roadworthiness test will be carried out for the new owner.
