- 5.7-Litre V8 powerplant with 3-speed automatic transmission
- Impressive paperwork file of no less than 27 MOT certificates
The Appeal
Slicked-back styling, fearlessly futuristic lines and brash V8 performance made the 3rd iteration of the Corvette one of the most iconic cars in American history. It's a car that boasts just about everything 70s - right down to the pop-up headlights and almost aeronautic dashboard array - and has endured beautifully as one of the most recognisable cars ever to roll out of St. Louis.
This 1979 example first arrived in the UK in 1991, and has been with the current owner for some four years, where it's merrily plied its way through the National Forest Country Roads with grace. It's accompanied by a pack of 27 MOTs and a history of regular servicing under its belt - reportedly resulting in an American classic that defies its years.
