The Attractions

Throughout its long history, the Land Rover has proved capable of the most diverse tasks; it has been used in agriculture, adopted by the armed forces of various countries and employed in virtually every field. It lends itself equally well to carrying people, and can accommodate up to twelve passengers in the long-wheelbase Station Wagon version and up to seven in the short-wheelbase version. And this is even more remarkable when you consider that the Land Rover 88 Series is not a particularly generously sized car.
Here we present just such a Land Rover 88 Series III in Station Wagon trim with a diesel engine from 1978. It has recently received some respectful restoration work and we are told that it is in excellent condition and drives just as it should. For those looking for a practical and usable classic Land Rover in a particularly desirable and ready-to-drive trim, this seems the ideal example.
