The Appeal

Kawasaki were pioneers of the transverse-mounted DOHC powertrains, starting with the Z1 in 1972 and later producing a whole range of similar machines, including this KZ650. Kawasaki intended this to be a junior version of its 900cc machines, and as such it gained a reputation for being a little easier to handle and live with day-to-day.

This example began life in the United States where it was registered on 01/01/1978, hence the KZ prefix. The Kawasaki was imported to the UK in 2015 and the vendor has owned it since 2019.

Offered in very good condition, this '70s icon would be fit to grace any collection, and it's one of the few '70s bikes you really could still ride every day, should the mood take you. With its historic vehicle status, this bike is exempt from MOT, road tax, and ULEZ charges, making it very inexpensive to run and an attractive option for many.
