The Appeal
Whether you’re here for Donnie Brasco or for a love of big, smooth coupes, lets all take a moment to drink this Caddy in. It is a magnificent slice of Americana and one of the last of Detroit’s classic era cars.
This 1978 Coupe De Ville is all that and more. Imported to the UK by the seller in 2015, it has the big 425CI 7litre L33 motor and some choice factory options including wires and cabriolet roof. Beyond the acres of white paintwork and shiny chrome lies a sumptuous burgundy leather interior, all pleasingly original.
The enthusiast vendor has maintained the car regardless of expense but used it sparingly, storing it in an air conditioned unit when not on the road. It looks usable and solid and can be sold with 12 months MOT if the buyer requires. Motoring doesn’t get much bigger or more evocative than this.
