Highlights
- Has only covered 3,749 miles from new and the vendor is just the third owner
- Forty years off the road until the vendor acquired the bike in April 2019
- Exceedingly original and in fantastic condition both mechanically and cosmetically
The Appeal
When it comes to small ‘70 dual sport motorcycles, the Yamaha DT250 was class-leading, performing admirably both on and off the beaten track. Original examples that haven’t seen heavy off-road use are now rather hard to find, making this incredibly original, low mileage example quite the rarity.
The current owner has covered a mere 196 miles on this bike since acquiring it in 2019, bringing the total to just 3,749. We’re informed that it has never been used off-road and the previous owner didn’t ride the bike even once during their forty years of ownership. If you’re looking for an immensely original, unrestored, low mileage DT250, this is most certainly the one to have.
