The Appeal
There are plenty of specialists refining air-cooled 911s these days, and that's all very well; some so-called "restomods" are exceedingly impressive. But, there's a lot to be said for experiencing a classic 911 au naturel - as Porsche originally intended.
That's where this one comes up trumps. It's a supremely original and useable example of the celebrated "G Model" 911, namely the 2.7-litre 'S' - Porsche's mid-range offering with a naturally aspirated 175bhp. This one's the Coupé, a UK-supplied right-hand drive car resplendent in 'Platinum' and sitting upon a set of iconic Fuchs alloys.
The vendor notes that their car is one of the the very last of the' Narrow Body G Models’. This is significant to enthusiasts, as after this from 1977, it’s no longer considered the original Ferdinand Porsche body shape or design; all had wider wheel arches and also started to get bigger all around.

A Porsche specialist totally rebuilt and upgraded the flat-six engine less than 4,000 miles ago, as detailed in an accompanying 'renovation pack' containing a list of all upgrades and fixes. The Porsche has been serviced each year during present ownership, and the vendor comments that it drives superbly.
If you're looking for a back-to-basics 911 that drives just like they did in period, this is the car to buy.
