The Appeal
The template was already there, thanks to the E9, but Paul Bracq’s E24 rethink created one of BMW’s most beautiful and distinctive cars.
For the first 18 months of production, all E24s were fully built by Karmann. These cars, which are the purest iteration of Bracq’s handsome design, are particularly sought after by collectors.
This 630 is one of them. It mixes that 3litre straight six with a desirable manual box. First registered in March 1977 it is pleasingly factory standard, right down to the multi-spoke alloys and bright red paintwork. The bodywork was partially restored and fully resprayed some years ago and remains in very good order, as the photographs confirm.
The car has had only two keepers since arriving in Holland in 2009 and comes with a long APK to October 2025. There is additional documentation from RDW. The vendor advises that there is some scope to improve, but this desirable Karmann-built car has the right specification and certainly looks very usable.
