The Appeal
The Bentley version of the Silver Shadow was the car designed for those who were a little less showy about their accumulated wealth and success. It was the discerning choice, just 558 buyers ticking the box for the Bentley grille and wing when the revised T2 was announced from 1977.
These later cars got updated bodies and improved steering. This lovely two-tone chestnut and champagne metallic example was one of the first built, delivered to its first Crawley-residing keeper in December 1977. Quite the Christmas present - its £22,412 purchase price equates to nearly £175,000 today.
It is a lovely example in original and well kept condition. It has been looked after by its handful of keepers, a run of regular servicing and maintenance including a gearbox rebuild and work to the brakes in recent years. In 2024 alone it has received a full service and check over.
The car is now for sale as the enthusiast keeper is trimming down his collection. With its fetching colour scheme and well kept history, this is one for the Silver Shadow enthusiast with discerning taste.
